So this has been on my mind for some time since I've recently gotten my hands on a consular and have been looking into different emitters.
I wanted a vented or slanted emitter, but my main issue is lining the vents or slant up just the right way. Is there a way I can get the emitter to line up just right without it being loose or having to glue the emitter in?

At the moment, there is one emitter that does this with a pair of locking set screws: the reaper.

I don't have a reaper. So if I wanted to try and recreate that sore of effect I'd need to use locking set screw on the consular and the emitter? How would one go about doing that? And couldn't there be another way that doesn't cosmetically alter the main body of the consular?

Nah, it has a Male MHS piece that the emitter is attached to using those set screws. The screws fit into a groove on that piece and hold it just like the blade set screw does. That way, the emitter can rotate around the male MHS connector without falling off, and the emitter can be locked at any point on that rotation.

That still doesn't answer my question for straightening an emitter on any MHS hilt.

I found a solution. Putting an O-Ring on the emitter and tightening the emitter onto it provides the proper grip while allowing the emitter to be positioned at the necessary angle.

It does answer your question, but you apparently wanted a simpler and more temporary answer. I'm sorry for responding.

Honestly it just comes down to the threading of the emitter piece and the body of the hilt. That's where you need to be careful. There are things you can do to remedy this though. For instance, as stated, you can use a rubber O-ring. Some "Other Guys" also sell aesthetic, machined rings that you can put onto the saber that can help, but it isn't always going to guarantee a fit, so the O-ring would be the best bet. You could also make a shroud that acts as slanted emitter, which is the other best option because then you can craft it or have it made to your specifications and place it wherever and however you want on the hilt, held onto the hilt by retention screws and whatnot.

Aside from this, there isn't much else you can do. I do think Ultrasabers needs to make some MHS slanted emitters as the ones from the "Other Guys" do not always align perfectly with a hilt purchased from here.

Anywho....I hope that answers your question.

Thank you.
I've found that the o ring works perfectly. It provides a snug fit that can withstand heavy dueling while allowing me to adjust the angle just perfectly.

I agree, Ultrasabers does need to make a slanted MHS emitter, the one of have from the other guys is so tight that I can't get my heavy grade back out. It's a permanent hold now.

Ah, yes. Their inner diameter is a bit more snug than Ultrasabers. Give it a twist as you pull the blade out (in the opposite direction so your MHS doesn't come apart) and don't be afraid to use some Force with it. It'll come out.

I certainly tried that, even had two people pulling. It refused to budge, so instead, I forced the blade in all the way and decided to make the emitter a permanent part of the blade. I'll just have to buy a new emitter, no big deal.

The issue with this is when you run out of threads. It's not about a tight fit or loose end, it's about aligning a piece properly according to who owns the saber. For instance, TCSS parts align differently when matched to US parts due to the threading of the parts.
