I am glad I picked this one up. The saber is very solid. Switch is well placed. Pommel is recessed so it doesn't take up real estate on your saber. A perfect off hand saber for large handed guys like myself. Also has a nice sleek feel so that it doesn't feel bulky in your lady's hand either.
This saber would make a great choice for a first time saber buyer.
My only problem with the saber is the Covertec Knob. My large hands rub against it. If you are large handed, I suggest removing the knob and replacing with a D-ring.
Normal hand people will love this saber. Anakin Skywalker & Darth Vader Cosplay will want to pick up this saber as it is a descent price and has a very nice balance of Original Triology/Prequel Triology look to it. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars.
Next is the Monarch. Mine is Nickel plated. This saber reminds me of the one carried by Darth Sidious in Revenge of the Sith. Nice curves all the way down. But don't let that delicate look fool you, this saber is a beast. This saber is the heaviest I own to date. Very solid and honestly can be used to defend your property as a blunt force instrument. Even with my large hands, it can be held comfortably with two hands and yet is so well balanced, it makes an awesome one hand saber.
I have tried very hard to find a bad hold on this saber and I can find none. Best gripping saber that I own to date. If you want to feel like you have unlimited power, purchase one of these. You will feel in complete control when you hold one.
Downsides to the Monarch are that its beautiful curves do not lend to pommel customization. The real estate also does not allow for a nice looking Covertec placement. Now my honest opinion is this: why would anyone want to mess with perfection? Make you a sleeve holster or flashlight holster for this beauty and be done with it. Truly the king of all Ultrasabers!!! 4.9 out of 5.
Finally, we come to the Dominix v2 LE. This is the sister saber to my Aeon v2 LE. When I look at this, I see the partner to my Overlord. Overlord owners need to pick this up. Makes a great off hand saber to your Overlord. Never discount the v2's. They are works of art and hold up well to abuse. This will never be sound capable but when you want something that says "I mean business", this saber fits the bill. 4.5 out of 5
All three sabers are ones that I have had my eyes upon and finally was able to add them to my collection. Great for the first time buyers and long time collectors as well.
