Which height or height range is the line between wielding a regular 36" blade without trouble (such as constantly hitting the floor with it), and requiring a shorter 32" blade?

Ok I'm gonna say from personal experience that this is very dependent on your personal choice, at least for maneuverability.  I'm a fairly tall guy (6 foot 2 inches) and I actually have found the 32" to be quite nice - the 36" now seems quite long and unwieldy in my opinion.  Other people love the longer blade, and I know people who even love the Initiate blades because they're even shorter and more maneuverable.  You kinda have to wield it to see.

As far as spinning goes, you typically have your hand somewhere ranging from your shoulders to your waist (at least in my experience) so I guess if you measured from the waist down you'd have your answer more or less.

If you don't have a chance to compare the blades in person and you're gonna order, just go with the 36" blade.  If it's too long, you can always cut it down!

I like the 36" blades and I'm 5'7." It's more a user preference than a height thing I think.

Yeah that's kind of what I always felt.  I like the 36", I just have been trying out the 32" recently along with my friend Artorius.  Both are pretty maneuverable, and are fine for spinning.

I agree. I'm 5'7 and find that the 36" blade is fairly comfortable for twirling and spinning. 32" is more so, but I don't have any problems hitting the floor unless I try to extend my arm downward mid-swing. Good luck!
