alright, my next question is why red?

Why not... would you rather it be blue? or would pink do it?

Anyway, my main reason is that we are also Sith... at least some of us are. The red is the blood among us, within us, and the blood that ties us together as brothers.

Although that's not official, that's an idea... when I started with the insignia, I saw red as the perfect color, and I thought... "Red Jedi... that sounds pleasing... why not?"

Considering that your post count is over 1350, your rank will be 5. Currently our other rank five member is currently been AWOL, so if he doesn't return to say that he wants to be our Champion, you can take that place.

You don't need to recruit everyone right away, but each rank has a number of "apprentices" that one should have. If you could find just one apprentice for now, and perhaps try to find a second after that. The way you take an apprentice is that you basically recruit members you find to have a similar point of view to your own... one you might want to counsel, as well as one who has a lower post count (which shouldn't be hard for someone of your rank).

By the way, as found in the introductory post, you would ideally have 6-8 apprentices.

Just wanna fix that up. People won't be in your apprenticeship forever, and having several at once is something both the Jedi and Sith seem to agree is not such a good idea (but for different reasons).

regarding the food for thought bit, I believe that the emperor had Vader, and while it is slightly different, the hand as well. The hand was not treated as an apprentice in the traditional sense, she is, in my opinion, an apprentice.

As far as apprentaces go I have one unofficial apprentace I've been mentoring threw face book and I'm not sure i'd he has joined the forum other than that there a number on the forum I've been advising on custom builds and the such

Fine... I think we are using the wrong term, and therefore giving the wrong impression... does the term "Student" work better... a class isn't one-on-one, and in this case 101 could be a bit extensive, because this is an easy forum, and we aren't really teaching each other how to live, simply advising them on their situations.

But if you prefer a 101 style... go ahead.
