Hey guys, Got my 1st saber last Friday, RGBA 4Channel Emerald Catalyst (with Orange AV Switch). Just posting a couple of pics ahead of my review which I'll get on ASAP Suffice to say I'm blown away by the saber, the obsidian sound board and the Emerald driver. Had the saber in every colour under the sun with most of the available fonts:). ATM I'm using a darkened version of Pyrestone Orange pulsing to an even Deeper red Orange on a 0s,0.2s,0s,0.2s set-up, which gives an amazing effect like a "real" saber as it were (intense pulsing flicker). Sound Font of a Choice ATM. Well I'm swapping between Dark Star and Sister of Shadows almost at an hourly rate lol! As I say full review incoming. Meanwhile:    |

Congrats on your first saber. I like your touch on the saber in regards to the wrappings  The Catalyst looks really sleek in the pictures, I might be tempted to get one eventually, how does it handle? |

Cheers guys. Yeah really loving the saber, its sleek look and neutral colouring means it works (I feel) really well as both a light and dark saber too.
Sandman- It handles beautifully, almost prefectly balanced and just feels "right" when swinging it. Also the narrow choke and sleek nature of the blade means its prefect for spinning etc. Yeah couldn't be happier with it:)
Oh, and the idea of a small amount of leather wrapping at the end of the hilt was inspired by another Saber Forumite "Zlaude", just adds a little personal and "Ancient" touch to it (Anicent saber font is another fav along side, Sister of Shadows and Black Star!)

Dude, Love your choice. I have 3 sabers. Catalyst was my first and it is a fantastic blade. It is just excellent to hold and spin. I really dig my Raven which was lots more - with Emerald but the Catalyst is just a flawless blade. I imaging a real (wish there were some) jedi would want a simple and slick weapon like this to use. Thanks for the call out. When I saw your pic I though to myself. Guy has style, then I saw you gave me cred. good man. Preystone orange is a killer color. I have that on my Graflex.  |
