would it be safe if i took my (future) saber and played with it in a pool. i saw the vid of the guy dropping them in the pool and wandered if it would be safe to battle in the pool or in rain.

When that vid was made all Ultrasaber products were made of PVC and plastic hilt parts.  I'm not expert but I'm not sure that aluminum allows for the kind of seal that the plugs and rubber end caps get.  I'll let someone with experience getting their saber wet or a mod contradict me but I'd advise against it.

As for Rain, shouldn't be a problem if you aren't in an epic downpour for a couple hours.

I would advise against it as well....  I wouldn't submerge any electronics in water, unless they were made to do so....
