what is lead time? and what does it have to do with the blade?

I'm assuming you're referring to the bullet tip for the blade.  Lead time is how long it takes your order to make it out of the processing phase which occurs before shipping.  Basically it'll take longer to to get you your saber due to having to either procure that part because it's not in stock OR because they have to change the tip on one of the sabers.  What the actual reason for the increased time is I'm not sure of since I don't work with Deep.

Summary:  increased lead time means it takes ou longer to get your saber.

Well yes, you're paying more for the special pointy "bullet tip" - in other words you're asking for a special feature for your blade, so it makes sense that it would cost more and take more time to assemble.
