My custom fonts, and customizations of existing fonts are too quiet.

I have been modifying existing sound fonts, and developing a new font (either to be called banshee or screaming demon) and I cannot figure out how to get the volume to compare with fonts such as darktron.  I'm using audacity and the LSU converter, but the fonts are only about half as loud as darktron.  What am I doing wrong or how can i fix this?

try using the envelope tool and adjusting the gain , it can be tricky making a font louder while preserving sound integrity without distorting the original sounds
