Lovin your belt and lightsaber get up. What parts did you use? Looks like Shock emitter, War Glaive body, and Bellicose short groove pommel. Nice Droid Caller too.

Chicago.jedi did a great job didn't he? I'm very pleased with his work and honored my model was subject to it.

I just want to let everyone know I did some rearranging in the shop to put Costume/Prop items in front. I have decided to do this because they have become more popular than the blade plugs and I want to put my foremost items first. It also makes more sense to have the blade plugs closer to the saber accessories.

Thank you to all of those supporting me on this journey. I'm having a blast with this  Smiley

It took me a little longer to get this done than anticipated but here it is.......

Before sanding....

After sanding.....

When I got the prop, the surface was a little bit rougher than I expected. I will chalk that up a misunderstanding on my part. The metallic finish is not really shiny and metal looking like I thought it would be. I used some 800 grit emery cloth on it and that did the trick of smoothing out the surface  and brought out the details nicely.

I then used silver spray paint on the body, followed by model painting the details. I also replaced the antennas with brass rod.

This will have a nice home in my Clone Wars Era kit and should last me a lifetime of trooping.

Another fine product from Sedsti that I am proud to show off.

Several of the emitter/shroud designs could also work for blaster models...

@Chicago. Nice. I'm going to get my comm link in just black though. That's what the original color was on the front.

@Chicago. Nice. I'm going to get my comm link in just black though. That's what the original color was on the front.

If I had to do it over again, I think I would get it in black also. I am a fan of Rub-N-Buff and I think that would have made a nice finish over a black print (like the droid caller parts I did in silver).

But really, the sky is the limit as to how you can finish these items. You can make them look like it is "used and abused" or "new off the shelf." It is all a matter of personal preference.

Frankly, I think some of the odd-ball colors might be interesting too, like a red one. We only really see a limited number of these on screen and who is to say that these comlinks are not the iPhones of the Star Wars universe?  Qui Gon does not strike me as the type that would have a hot pink Hello Kitty comlink, but maybe that is some other Jedi's preference  Cheesy

Which ever color you choose, you will not be disappointed.

New Models in Costume/Props Section

*Note sizes in renders are not representative of actual product size, especially in relation to one another. Refer to product page for size information.

I'm heading to my first comic con this weekend, in Tampa, and what better way to celebrate than to add more items to the Costume and Props section! These new additions include both classic and newer-age props inspired by the Star Wars universe.

First up, the Droid Caller (debuted here by chicago.jedi) is available in replica and non-replica sizes in multiple colors:
Replica size: https://www.shapeways.com/model/2186733/droid-caller-replica-size.html?li=shop-inventory&materialId=6&key=006f24bcfe9aac7be7453982778824ea
Non-replica size: https://www.shapeways.com/model/2296482/droid-caller.html?li=shop-inventory&materialId=6&key=883218955ae2222b8eda46ac29108e44

Next is the Wrist Comm, a wearable comm link prop that can be customized to fit your wrist. All you have to do is message me with your wrist width and thickness and I can modify the model so that it fits you comfortably. It is available in many colors and the price varies depending on its size: https://www.shapeways.com/model/2163640/wrist-comm.html?li=shop-inventory&materialId=62

The C1 Comm Link is the classic communicator that first appeared in the old trilogy and will be returning in the new Rebels TV show. It is available in several colors as well: https://www.shapeways.com/model/2306502/c1-comm-link.html?li=shop-inventory&materialId=6&key=90b4c70c7e42b17921ff0316c6aef511

Last, but not least are the Republic Credits. Three different designs based on the galactic currency denominations, available separately or in a set. These can be printed in plastics or in various stainless steels to give you the feel of having the real thing in your hand:
Republic Credit 1: https://www.shapeways.com/model/2220701/republic-credit-1.html?li=shop-inventory&materialId=6&key=08907c57e4c58e8547e6471eeff7bb14
Republic Credit 2: https://www.shapeways.com/model/2221453/republic-credit-2.html?li=shop-inventory&materialId=6&key=d3e2c23f8f76c71d8dc2fb4c614069a6
Republic Credit 3: https://www.shapeways.com/model/2221476/republic-credit-3.html?li=shop-inventory&materialId=6&key=96e30c32f180efc79b81ae92e0f2e912
Set of all three: https://www.shapeways.com/model/2230289/republic-credit-set.html?li=shop-inventory&materialId=6&key=d4e5dea35a6ea3647f2af73ebb24fda0

Speaking of the Rebels Animation Show, I found a sabersmith that is making Kanan Jarrus' lightsaber props. They are LED stunt versions but have room for sound to be added.

Made of aircraft aluminum and not a bad price. I have one on order 3-4 week wait and I plan on having sound added of course.
