This is the first three parts of the advanced series on saber spinning. It follows the beginning spinning here
www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=20240.0
and the intermediate spinning here
www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=20362.0
Comments and feedback o n any or all are greatly appreciated.
Part 1: This video serves as an introduction to the concepts that will be covered in the advanced series and some of the terminology that will be employed.

Part 2: This video deals with creating new moves. It covers reducing spins to beats: allowing one to add or subtract beats from a spin sequence to simplify or create more complicated moves. It also includes a discussion and examples of "vineing" which provides a system for spacing out complex moves.

Part 3: This video deals with dividing the clockface spin using circular vineing and lays the groundwork for freestyle spinning.

Just realized I forgot to put part 4 on this thread. Here is part 4 and part 5 dealing more with the body and the feet than the saber. Coming next is a new chapter on dual wield.

Firstly thank you for posting these and the different levels I've been wanting to improve my spinning to get towards your your level

Question I have a much harder time spinning comfortably on my off hand (right handed) is there any sort of exercises out there to help strengthen my off hand to be more comfortable with spinning?

You will always have more trouble with your off hand. The only thing to do is keep practicing with it. I think the accepted average is that you have to try about 3 times harder with your off hand. I will have some suggestions for this when I get into the dual wield tutorials.

I recommend completely ignoring your dominant hand for at least a week's worth of practice. Focus only on your off hand and build up the coordination with it before going back to your main hand. There really isn't any specific techniques to expedite things, it just takes practice and more practice. The more you practice and spend time with a saber in your off hand, the easier it gets and the smoother it gets.
