Hey guys, I was wondering if the quick disconnect comes in any saber, or if you can only order it with some sabers? I wanna get a dark standard issue staff, and I wanted to know if I can get quick disconnects on the LEDs of both sides, and how much would it cost? Thanks for your help!

Quick Disconnect is an option you can choose for some sabers. It costs $15 to add.

Well it looks like the quick disconnects only come in some sabers with sound (which are mostly sabers that also have MHS parts). I don't know if there's a reasoning behind it. I'd like quick disconnects for other sabers as well. They don't look too difficult for a DIY install. And if Ultra didn't install them on all of his sabers, it would be nice to have an install kit offered in the DIY section of the store.... it would be better than having to buy them from another saber store that I won't mention the name of.  |

I mean, you get the MLS unit with a connector on the end of the cables, but you also get the corresponding connector hooked up to two separate 10" cables. I'm guessing this is for DIY builders.. Since I don't know crap about that kind of thing, I'm not sure if there's anything else you'd need in the 'install kit' you mentioned  EDIT: Here's what I mean:  |

And I guess you'd just have to solder those wires in, then it'd work just like having quick disconnect already installed? I can solder pretty well. I think I could manage that. Can anyone confirm that this would work?

Thanks! So you just put those wires in where the LED is currently installed, and BOOM. Quick disconnect. And is that what all the LEDs look like, not just separate ones, but the ones that come with the saber? And how does it fit in? Just slide in the top?

Actually, that's the MLS unit (not to be confused with the other LED Module). This one fits in the Bellicose, Raven, Consular, Bane and War Glaive. Then there's the other one which fits in the Prophecy models and some other sabers..

Just found the new light module in the parts section. Does anyone know if that also comes with the other side of the connector, and also as a side note, to re-attach the old LED if it didn't already have quick disconnects, you would need a second one of the adapters that is connected to the LED. Are thy sold separately? And I'm still unsure as to how it fits in the saber. Do you just drop it in?

Yes, you just drop it in there. In my Bellicose there's like a joint inside the hilt, a tiny edge, where the MLS unit is fitted. This keeps the unit from going further down into the hilt.
