My new favoritest thing...

This is long overdue, but...whatever. The first saber I purchased was a Dark Std. Issue w/ Sound. Archon pommel and a green blade. It was exquisite. I was able to take it to the engraver, where I had "mentor  counselor  protector" lasered into the anodize in Aura-Besh no less, and monogrammed just above the pommel in Old English script. This was presented to my dad on Fathers' Day. Coupled with the note of explanation of its meaning, it nearly brought him to tears. {epic win} But this left me with a serious problem. I wanted one of my own.

So I made my first personal selection. The Scorpion. Less than a week later it arrived, in all of it's Sith glory. (Cuz let's face it, this saber has serios Dark Side connotations.) It was a dream come true. After 30 years of dreaming, I finally had (the closest thing to) a real light saber. The colmination of a lifetime's obsession was now in my hands. But that wasn't all. It wasn't just a light saber. It was MY light saber. As if this hilt was design just for me. The shroud's added diameter fit my grip perfectly. weight was well balanced for either standard or reverse holds. And it had just enough broad flat surface to get my name laser engraved in Sith Prophecy just bleow the AV switch. Forever marked as the saber of Darth Logos.

Hi DL.  Firstly congratulations upon your first Sith customized saber.  I think that getting those sabers engraved is a brilliant idea.  I would appreciate some photos of either or both sabers to see what they look like.  Also photos of you with YOUR special saber.  A point for you.

Yes. I agree with dauntless. I say do a photo shoot with your dad. Have some poses with the area of the sabers with the writings on as well. That'd be cool to see. =] I had the same feeling when I got my Bellicose with sound the first time, finally an almost real lightsaber. Lol. I might even have my name engraved on at some point then have the Jedi emblem on the back of the tallest point of the shroud.
