after market Av switch install

I ordered a standard issue us without sound and was wondering if it is possible to add a after market Av switch without installing a sound card. Any advise will help.

Yes, it is possible.  It has to be a latching AV switch.  I have installed two successfully myself.  They were 12mm and had no illumination to them.  When I searched for the illuminated style switches I had the following happen:

1.  Bought from Amazon and received momentary switches in a bait and switch scam.  Was fully refunded but got two switches I could not use.

2.  Latching illuminated switches that were 16mm were too long unless I used a control box.  The control box would not work on my Liberator or Monarch.

3.  Latching illuminated switches that were the right height for the hilt were 19mm in size and I didn't feel comfortable drilling that big of a hole in my hilts.
