So I figured, why not help the guys at US by making lightsaber hilts so we can maybe give them some good ideas for future builds. I made one that I think would look pretty sweet in reality:  Elysium saber! |

Neat design! How did you draw that? It sort of reminds me of the Consular, with the ribbed base and a shroud overtop.

Sadly, we're not all as good at drawing as you. At least, I'm not.
Anywho, that's a cool concept saber. I like the color scheme and general shape of the shroud, but underneath it looks kinda... plain. Not sure what could be done about that... maybe a cool emitter/blade holder on the end to give it something should you choose to take the shroud off.

Looks good. I agree on adding some kind of emitter. Something that comes to mind is the shroud. Having more sabers with shrouds except the consular, and being able to switch shrouds between sabers would be great. This looks a bit too much like the consular with the ribbed body though. But the shroud design is awesome. More sabers with interchangeable, compatible parts (like the MHS compatible sabers)! Easy customization is always awesome. I think I'm gonna try making some saber designs too! ^^

Alright I made another saber and I'll try to explain the design behind them. First off, they are made completely in Photoshop. Even though I can draw and have a drawing tablet I have not used it for this, Ive just relied on my trustworthy mouse ^^. So the first saber I made, which I choose to call Elysium, was made to be handled with two hands easy, good grip for lower and the higher hand due to a ribbed base with alot of space. At the bottom you can see the place where the saber slips into your belt clip and in the center is the on/off button, easy accessible by your lower hands thumb. Now for the second saber I made, one that I would like to call "Cryptic", is really more of a one hand saber hence Ive added a blue rubber grip to make sure it won't slip out of your hand. Could be used with two hands but grip is not the best for that. I added an emitter for this one and of course there is a belt clip. On and off button also control blade length with the slider. Overall the saber looks more advanced than the Elysium saber. Enjoy:  Cryptic saber! |

I Like the cryptic. Now, if you'll excuse me being critical of your design... I love the feel of this saber. The only thing that I would change is to add in some curves to accentuate the lines around the grip and copper. They kinda suggest a diamond or bulb shape in the middle, with the emitter and pommel being narrower. It'd probably look something like the Wraith:  |
