With the release of the Menace, I'm still holding out hope for more 'canon' hilts - something like Kit Fisto's would be the ideal, but I'd love to see US' take on Quinlan Vos and Aurra Sing's hilts, too.
I started thinking about Darth Nihilus' saber today at break. If you don't know, search it on Google Images. It is beatifully elegant. The helical grip is possible, but I'm not so sure about the lower portion of the emitter. |

I'd like to second the Kanan Jarrus Lightsaber model, but since we're also talking crazy talk, I had a thought while shoveling the driveway for the 300th time this year.
What about a sister site for blaster models? UltraBlasters if you will. People would loose their minds if they could get a decent DL-44 at Ultrasabers price and quaility. I know I would. Just a crazy thought.

SHUT UP!!! That is a friggin' awesome idea. POINTS. Although it would break my heart cuz then I'd have to choose between buying sabers or blasters. But I concur, having decent mock ups of favorite blasters w/ good electronics would be a little slice of heaven on the side of the Nirvana known as US. |

Ok I just found this under the archived Announcements. http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=12.0They so need to bring back the Redemption. It's a neat simple little saber, and would probably be awesome with sound. |

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really not a fan of the standard guarded switch US uses. I wish they had more options for activation buttons without requiring sound as well.

I like the look of them.. but they do have quite a loud "Click".. I'm only going by youtube video's though.. I have an Aeon V3 with obsidian.. so I have the other type.. which is AWESOME!!..

I've handled several of them. They are indeed loud, but that tells me the switch mechanism is strong and will have many cycles in its life.
I really love the look of the AV switches though. They're just stream-lined and sexy. I wish the stunt models had the option of adding activation boxes to accomodate latching AVs.

Get 2 of the curved Mantis hilts and a coupler. Sadly you can't split them to dual wield while dueling. You have to put it down unscrew the coupler from both and screw in the pommels. I made a suggestion in this thread for a pommels that can instantly be (dis)connected but no one seemed to notice my post(it's on page 5). |

I assure you that your suggestion of a quick disconnect coupler has not gone unnoticed. If you browse through the old suggestions thread you will find many requests and posts about them. IIRC some of those posts may cover the engineering details in designing one. |
