i read that the red wire is both positive for the battery and sound, so I soldered the three wires together. I wired the brown wire with the negative sound, and I wired the black wire to the negative battery wire. However, it doesn't turn on when I flip the switch. Ideas? I will get a picture up soon.

Update, I can get some sound, although barely and badly garbled. My fix was to hook up the LED to it, though it does not light up at all. Ideas?

Problem solved. The problem was that the switch was damaged. The lights and sound work.
