If you already have a previous version of the Launcher installed you should uninstall the older pre-v2.64 Launcher and install the new 2.64 version.  Do NOT run the MaintenanceTool.  Please completely uninstall the older version and install the new 2.64 version.

If the OS won't allow installation then the you must have the "Allow apps downloaded from:" set to "App Store and identified developers". This is found in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General tab.

Is this only applicable to Obsidian V4 board users?  Previous versions are still Windows based?

I just loaded the launcher onto my Mac and it works on my Manticore Obsidian.  Now its time to find some new sound fonts.

Thanks Ultra Sabers for finally coming out with this launcher.

I will have to try this later then...  Very excited....  I unfortunately did go and get a old PC laptop in order to use the prev launcher... But it only cost me 4 movie passes and some chocolate Smiley. Thanks US for developing this.   I look forward to the new v4 sound board when ready...

K I just installed it but will have to try it tomorrow... most of the instructions are in korean or japanese or something... but it installed.. it runs... and it is in english... so far looks smoother than the current version on my pc craptop... will try it out tomorrow...  have Jedi Training downtown with my son in 30 mins...  thanks again US...

Well, what I learned from the videos and the announcement thread is that the newest launcher still supports the older v3 sound board as well as the Emerald Driver. So no need for the v3 launcher in order to change sound fonts on v3 boards. You just don't have access to functions exclusive to the new v4 board.

I have to revoke the part regarding Emerald...it looks like it's not implemented yet, it takes a long time to read device information and doesn't come up with an Emerald interface...

I used it yesterday on my Chosen One SE, with my Macbook.   Grin

Everything worked extremely well, and the interface is very user friendly and self explanatory.  The new v4 Mac Launcher is a spectacular addition.

Yes my install instrcuctions were in some kind of Asian script.  I guessed at the correct buttons as the install followed the same set up as other applications...  I could figure out which box to check for accepting terms etc...  But when I opened the program everything appears to be in English.   I still have not tried it out though... I will get a chance over the next couple of days.

LOL!! Yeah, after mine loaded, everything was in English.  Weird.  I haven't tried it out yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

This is my first time using Obsidian Sound and it's V4. Do I need a certain cord or something to plug the board into my computer?
