Run installer "As Administrator". After installation, the Launcher and - in case of updates - the Maintenance Tool need to be run "As Administrator" as well to work properly. The Launcher is comaptible to Obsidian v3 and v4 sound boards, Emerald and Diamond.

Do you still have to install the newest version first before installing the older ones? Or has that procedure become unnecessary?

Aaaand a feature request that I've been missing after upgrading to the new launcher: the possibility of changing the master volume. In the new version you can only change the volume of the different sound files but not the master volume. Would be nice if you can add that in a future update Smiley

In the US video of the V4 soundboard it says you can set to mute then reactive sound with a push of a button without plugging back in. How is this done?

The soundboard comes pre-installed with 8 sound fonts, one of them is a "silent" font. You change into configuration mode, then circle through the sound fonts until you get to the "Silence" font (the last one) and confirm that. How to switch into config mode etc. is explained in the Obsidian v4 intro video Smiley

Racona Nova I watched The video but i can't seem to see which button unmutes the saber without plugging it back in.

It's the activation switch, too. You use it for all actions regarding sound font changing (expect for loading new sound fonts onto the board), so once you want to unmute your saber, simply switch to another font. You don't need the launcher for muting or unmuting a saber with the v4 board anymore.

Did we ever get a firm answer on this?  I haven't played with the new launcher yet, but I need to adjust the sensitivity of my "false triggers."  I'm sure the obvious thing is to just uninstall the old launcher, install the new one, and then re-install the old one (just to be safe), but I would still like to know the answer.  Smiley

Now I think I have a version 3 soundboard
will this V4 software work with a V3 soundboard ?

In all honesty I don't know if I have a V2 or a V3.

Does it matter? How can I find out which version I need to download?

If the Serial number starts with a 13XXXXX its a v3

Ah, actually it's a v3 when the Serial # is 121xxx and so on. So this launcher (as well as the Mac launcher) works with v3 sound boards Smiley

If it's even 13xxxxx, then it's the newest v4 board, I think. But you will only have it when you participate in the beta testing program. Otherwise you need to wait until its official release...

The v4 Launcher does work with v3 soundboards.  We use it every day.
