yeah pretty much as is in the topic tittle
can you program the V3 sound board to use multiple swing effects?
if so
will it play them individually in a random order, or all in one horrible mass of sound

You can, and you can have as many as will fit on the board. One sound will play for each detected swing, and you can alter the sensitivity options too.
The same goes for the impact sounds too, but you can only have one; hum, power up, power down, boot

I've also seen in the obsidian launcher it has options for the LEDs, I thought you could only change things like FoC and pulsate if you had emerald
should I ignore these options?

FoC doesn't need emerald, but it does need wiring in, so unless you ordered your saber with FoC, changing that setting will make no difference. For pulsate you are correct, you'd need emerald. The obsidian v3 launcher also contains the emerald launcher, so that's why you've got all the extra options. They can be safely ignored for now  |

ok so i got obsidian working and now my lightsabre is making no sounds, i've clicked on restore defualts but theres still no sound and nothing is muted or turned down

First things to check are as follows;
Are your batteries charged?
Do you actually have sound files in the appropriate slots? Resetting default is usually for the motion settings, not for the sounds themselves.
Did you turn your sound off again once it was connected? I didn't the first time, and it didn't write properly, so when i unplugged my saber and tried my new settings, they hadn't been written to the board. As a result, i still had exactly the same setup i'd been trying to get rid of.

i'm not sure what you mean by turn the sound off, I was following the instructions from the 'help' pages
