After reading the thread "sabercon" and thinking a lot about meeting like minded individuals (saber duelists), I was wondering if actually listing the cons we each normally go to would be helpful. I mean even if two or three guys get together from one part of the country and attend a con and do a little dueling, how much fun would would that be?
And not to mention Ultrasabers showing up at some of these cons as well.
And has anyone every seen any actual saber dueling at a con, I am not talking rehearsed, but an actual roped off area that allowed it? i think if Ultrasabers would dedicate a space next to thier booth at a con, and a few forum members showed up to demonstrate dueling techniques in a controlled environment, letting potental customers both handle and try out the sabers in combat, would be benefical to them....
Saber clubs could also get some floor space for such a thing.
I know there may be some liability there, but its just a thought.
