So I've been debating whether to get the Initiate or Aeon with a 30" blade. I'm only eleven so my hands are pretty small, and for the time being I think I could double hand-wield the Initiate, and I like to wield saber's using one hand so that's a plus. The problem though, is that if I ever start using both hands, when I'm older that could be a problem. Yet again if I keep this current style I'll be fine. So my question is, which saber do you guys recommend? Thanks in advance!
P.S. I had parental permission to create and account, and you can ban me once this question is answered if you want.

As you are aware of the age requirement I will answer you question and let Ultra and Master Caine decide if anything else is appropriate.

If you go with an initiate you could later use that saber to dual wield if you ever feel the desire to so.  Personally I think it would be prudent to go with the Aeon.  Being that "size matters not" I'll go ahead and tell you that it's likely you'll grow as you said.  It's your first saber, and that's a big deal.  You'll want to be able to use that saber forever, and that means having it be of a functional size and balance.

Just my own thoughts.

Thanks for the feedback, but my saber-wielding style is one handed. So on that note, I am currently leaning towards the Initiate, as bulkiness bugs me. ALOT.

There is no "bulkiness" difference between the Initiate and Aeon. They are both the same diameter. The differences that stand out are length of the body and Ignition Switch placement. The Initiate is 9 inches long and has a switch in the middle, while the Aeon is (at my best guess) around 12 inches long, and has the switch higher up the handle. Where you would grip the saber is another thing to consider. Do you grip higher or lower on the handle? If you grip high near the emitter, I recommend the Initiate V2 LE. If you grip lower or two-handed, I would recommend the Aeon LE.

By the way, something I forgot to consider when I bought my first saber, was the fact that you can get a coupler and join two similar sabers together to form a battle staff.

That's pretty much what I was gonna say.

Just to add one thing; The Aeon is very good for one handed wielding. In fact I miss my Aeon for just that reason....

In that case Aeon it is! Also the reason I said "bulky" (such an ugly word) was I was comparing toy lightsabers, fail.
EDIT: Can I get a custom 30" blade?

Yes.  When you order you can put your request in the comments box.  That box I located on the shipping page.

Either choice is a good one in my eyes - the Initiate is not just for children, if you prefer to wield the saber one handed it makes a fine one handed weapon for even someone older.  I've been considering getting an Initiate with a 32" blade for single handed dueling, and I'm an adult.  However, the Aeon is always a fine choice as well - I'm sure you will grow into it and be able to use it for a long time to come.

I would advise going with the Initiate for now, and when you get older go for a larger saber - or build your own!  The Initiate is almost 9 inches long, so unless you really don't like small hilts I would say it fit you fine as you grow.  You can just get a longer blade down the road for it.  Just my two cents.

You want the Initiate. I honestly think it should be everyone's first saber. It is bigger than most people expect. You will absolutely no problem using with one or two hands.

Well, the Initiate now sounds like a good idea Grin
So, in the time I would get another saber, I'll probably have money to buy a more "deluxe" sort of saber.
P.S. I hope I get an Initiate for my birthday!

Sorry for the double post, but on the Initiate LE do you guys recommend an Adegan Silver, or Guardian Blue blade? Honestly I lean towards the Blue, but i'd like some of your opinions.

I have the Guardian Blue Initiate V2 LE and it is unbelievably beautiful. When I lit it up in my living room it blinded both me and my dad. The blue is very vivid. I recommend it.

Yeah, I'd say the blue is the way to go. Unless you really have your heart set on a silver/white saber, I wouldn't recommend it for your first.
