Hey all,
I've been fiddling with my Bellicose with Sound Emerald and have noticed something...odd. I went with the illuminated AV switch in red, and it seems to be dim when the saber is powered on, but when I activate the FOC, it strobes to a very bright red. Is this something I can change with the Emerald settings, or is it normal? My other two sabers with illuminated AV switches don't have this issue.
Any thoughts?

It sounds like you configured your saber AV switch in series with your blade. Go back and look "how" you configured your AV switch. If your FoC is different color than blade, your AV will be at full brighteness. Yet, when using your main blade color, dimmer or pulsing. |

Brother, if you have a 4-Channel Emerald, you had choices on how to configure the AV switch: same as blade color, in series with one channel or 1 channel strictly dedicated to the switch. Go back to "Your Account", log in and look at your purchase history. It will tell you exactly how it's configured. |

Yes, it seems that your switch has been configured "in series". When you make changes to the channel the switch is in series with, then you will change its brightness and behaviour. It looks like the switch is in series with the channel that is currently used for FoC because your switch is at high brightness when it's activated. In Pulse/Idle Mode you have reduced the power to this channel, that's why the switch is dim during that time. The only thing that is constant is the switch LED colour - this can't be changed through the Driver, only by swapping the whole switch! I think that's what you've read, right?  I assume your other sabers are non-Emerald? Then these switches wouldn't show this behaviour at all, because it's only available with an Emerald saber. @Groov: the third option is "Always On", actually - "same as blade colour" wouldn't make sense on an Emerald saber and, as I said, it's not even possible to control the colour with the Driver |

One thing not mentioned that I discovered, is that on a saber with a dedicated channel to the AV switch, you can make the AV switch pulse or Flash on clash by adjusting that fourth channel independent of whatever blade color scheme you have on the saber, which opens the door to other posible interesting visual effects in the hilt. (pulsating crystal chamber maybe?)
