Very close.  The Guardian Blue is a true deep blue and the Artic is a nice lighter blue, a lot like Luke ANH or ESB.

Another question, lol. How long do batteries usually last before they need replacing? And is it a steady downwards gradient of lack of brightness or does it run at full then drop off? Thanks for bearing with this thread, just trying to consolidate things so I dont spam up the forum.

That'll depend on many, many, many factors. It's hard to get a good estimate. But I can tell you that, yes it is a gradual decrease in brightnes, although you won't start really noticing it until it gets to the point where you the batteries are just about dead.

Well, assuming that it is a single color LED, and no sound board, could you give a range? I would rather get the Li-ion setup to having to replace batteries every week Tongue

As was said before it has a lot of variables.  The more you turn the saber on and off the less time the batteries will last.  If you have a heavy weekend of dueling and spinning then your saber might go out in two days!  Nero and I do this from time to time and I almost ALWAYS have to replace/recharge my batteries after a weekend with him.

You won't get an accurate answer because nobody puts a stop watch to their use of a saber.  I usually can go MONTHS without charging or changing batteries but I also rarely touch my sabers without Nero around.

Your first saber chooses you. Something will feel right about it in a way I can't explain. My first is a purple EL Graflex that I got about six years ago and I still use it from time to time it despite a dozen other options that I've picked up over time.

Alright. Thats not as long as I hoped, but I wont be doing much dueling so I shouldnt have a problem.
Also, thanks for your Bellicose review, im torn between one of those and a phantasm, both are so tempting!  Grin
