So which band do you guys like better if you're into this kind of music? I like both but I like All That Remains more, they have more to their music I think. My favorite 2 songs have to be This Calling and Two Weeks. Just focusing on these two bands though. Did you guys see any of them live at all? I haven't yet

Killswitch Engage. Although "Killswitch Engage II" was a little lackluster, I have enjoyed every one of their albums. "As Daylight Dies" is probably their crowing achievement, but I was exceptionally pleased with Jesse's return on "Disarm The Descent." I rarely listen to All That Remains anymore. For me, after "The Fall of Ideals" they lost a little of what made them special; I have not enjoyed anything they have done recently. However, at this moment I am still spinning Atreyu's newest release "Live Long."  |

I'll have to check that one out. last song I really listened from them was for Underworld Awakening I think. Love that movie too. Yeah their song Her Portrait In Black. I can kinda play the solo but I don't have a wah pedal so yeah  |

I haven't been as into that sort of music recently, but I like Killswitch with there "new" singer. I wasn't too into most of the stuff with Howard so I'm happy Jesse is back.
I've seen ATR live, and they put on quite a good show, although no one that night could touch the band they opened for, Volbeat.

Between the two, I'd say Killswitch Engage. My preference though is Trivium. I haven't gotten a chance to listen to their new album yet though. I really like Machine Head as well.

Way nice. Though I always liked the deeper voice from Howard when he sang the light vocal parts. I think those of us that play should post some kind of random cool riff this weekend if no one isn't too busy |

I really like both bands, but I'll have to give the nod to All That Remains. In my opinion, they're just a lot tighter and I like that they experiment a bit with different polyrythyms in a few songs. Killswitch has always been pretty straight-forward to me, and that's fine too.

I haven't really heard All That Remains. I like KsE, but losing Howard...it made me not want to try their newest work because Leach is nearly impossible to understand. I prefer vocalists who scream/growl that I can understand, like Howard Jones or Mikael Åkerfeldt.
