The first indication that your soundboard is working properly is after installing charged batteries you should hear the "boot up" sound. If that's not happening then there could be an issue with the soundboard itself.

Have you tried hooking your board up to your computer? Have you had any trouble connecting to your saber or had any faults uploading new sounds to your saber?

Or...if you've never done the above, then I'd suspect your board could be faulty and you should proceed by contacting US by email explaining your situation in detail.

I have the LITE obsidian sound, and yes, the boot up sounds saying 'obsidian'.
I've already sent an email    Cry  but as they're too bussy, they might respond in 3 or 6 days
Anyway, thank you for your support, i knew i could get some help on the forums!

i want to get a dueling saber but idk if the obsidian is meant for that? i would think that the vibrations from hard contact might damage it some how?

hahahahahahahHAHAHAHAHAHA. Sorry. Had to get that out of my system. As many others have said US are made for dueling. Everything else is just a toy

"The only difference between a man and a boy is the price of their toys."

As a boy I had a lightsaber that probably cost $20.  It was made of plastic. I was a decent length for a child (larger than the Initiates that is for sure) and it could make sounds on swinging it around. (the old Kenner "The Force" Lightsaber)

As a man I have a lightsaber that cost over $500.  It is made of aluminum with a polycarbonate blade. It makes a lot of sound though a tiny speaker.  I can adjust the sounds and light it puts out to whatever I want.  I could even take the batteries out and keep it going with just the recharger. And I can swing in into thing and it probably won't break.

But I is still a lghtsaber.

Someone asked if I could get it to cut.  I said that was out of my price range.  Also hard on the furniture, cats, and hands.

I know that US can withstand abuse because they are built strong but does anyone know if using them out in cold weather and when its snowing is a good idea especially for the electronics inside the hilt?

I've done it with no issues.  Cold will kill the battery more quickly, and moisture shouldn't get inside the hilt, but otherwise it's fine.
