So is the new soundboard worth getting? There's a few colors that I always felt matched with just the regular soundfont. How long would you guys say it lasts on a fresh set of batteries? Is it basically like having a Hasbro saber but with better sounds and stuff? How well are the stock sensors, like do the swings and impacts activate pretty good on standard set up out of the box and such? Been wanting just a saber to mess around with since Obsidian Lite came out

It last a solid 2 hours of use before you see the blade begin to dim.

One recommendation for the ObLITE, purchasing a color like SRD or VA or BH will result in lost battery time because of the color mixing. Many people have complained that their color completely changes, for example Bane's Heart turns from the pink color into a standard red until you replace the batteries.

So, I would recommend getting one of the single color LED's. (GB, CG, BR etc.)

Hope this helps!

I was wondering about the Lite setup as well, but I realized that with the setup of the saber I wanted it didn't save me much money and figured it wasn't worth it. Much rather have the Premium so I can customize my sound font.

My friend has the lite and it sounds and functions really good and is very responsive with swings and clashes. The only problem is that people seem to be having their batteries pop out while dueling causing the saber to say obsidian and restart itself.

I'm happy with mine, but realistically, when you factor in getting rechargable AAA batteries + a charger, you really close the gap cost-wise between the ObLITE sabers and the LI-ION sabers with sound.

Curious about battery life on a AAA battery setup with Tri-LED and Obsidian Lite? Check this thread:

Sabers: Graflex SE in Tri-GB/Obsidian LITE, Overlord in Tri-CG/Obsidian v4, Emerald Scorpion/Obsidian V4, Emerald Fulcrum/Obsidian V4, Fulcrum in "violent amethyst"/Obsidian V3.
