Age doesn't matter. Characters are one of the main things about movies or shows that I notice. I can occasionally forgive bad acting, but if I don't like a the person's character, and their isn't anybody else in the show that I do like, I wont watch it.
Then you didn't watch longer than 2 minutes. Bates was a badass. Even with a bum leg. Thomas was the devil. The list goes on, but the point remains....the characters in Downton
are what the show is about. The stories are kinda.....Calon what's that word you like so much?
