BIOGRAPHY: Born on the planet of Mesirian to an Altisian Jedi Master 24 years before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, HIRR was noted as being gifted with a strong connection with to the Force from birth.
Given over to the care of the unorthodox Jedi Master Djinn Atlis at a young age, HIRR was raised in a Padawan Cohort on board the Altisian Jedi Praxeum Ship the
chu’unthor and began his training as a Jedi.
As a Padawan HIRR showed a natural affinity with the Force and proved to be an adept and diligent student learning, in the Altisian way of teaching, from numerous Jedi Knights and Masters on board the
chu’unthor.
After the construction of his Lightsaber, which should be noted produces a distinctive amber blade, HIRR again proved to be a dedicated student and in time became skilled in all the classical Lightsaber forms, but was not known to favour a single form over any other.
Alongside his studies of the Force HIRR, unusually for a Jedi who were often noted as maintaining a reliance on the Force over their physical form, also adhered to a disciplined and rigorous exercise regime including acrobatics, calisthenics and the practice of the Martial Art of Teras Kasi which led to an athletic and muscular physique.
Coupled with a steady mind, even temperament and the rapid acquisition of the required skills and knowledge HIRR was put forward as a candidate for the Jedi Trials which he successfully completed at the age of 16.
Upon his appointment as a Jedi Knight, HIRR chose to follow the path of a Jedi Sentinel, choosing to leave the confines of the
chu'unthor and moving to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to expand upon his powers in the Force whilst perfecting non-force related skills such as covert military operations, intelligence gathering, and starship piloting.
Upon the outbreak of the Clone Wars HIRR was documented as a skilled pilot, and a confident and well-rounded soldier, albeit with a rebellious and independent streak which was often noted to be a trait of the Altisian Jedi.
Upon the outbreak of hostilities, HIRR joined in the Grand Army of the Republic as a Jedi Commander and it was documented that he fought with courage and distinction in several major engagements throughout the Clone War.
HIRR was known to have been present at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant during the execution of Order 66 where security recordings show him combatting the Clone troopers of the 501st Legion, although it is suspected that he survived and went into hiding, escaping the opening stages of Jedi Purge as no record of his remains were logged during the subsequent cleanse of the Jedi Temple.
At this time his whereabouts and status are currently unknown.
--- RECORD ENDS ---
It was dark with the windows dimmed against the sunlight and the interior lights extinguished; the only illumination came from the glittering holo-map projected in the air, spreading the worlds of a dozen systems before the lone occupant of the Briefing Chamber.
Jedi Knight Davin Quinn Hirr rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he assessed his work. The presentation was due to be put before the Jedi War Council tomorrow, and although he knew it was as complete as he could make it, this final review was nothing more than a futile attempt to calm his nerves than anything else.
Hirr stood in the shadows, eyes glittering in the hazy blue glow of the map and sighed gently before extending his hand towards the holo-cube; it detached from the reader with a soft click and the star-map flickered and then faded as the cube drifted across the briefing room into his outstretched hand.
The environmental sensors detected the end of the display and with a gentle hum, the illumination level increased and the window transparency increased to reveal the brightly lit cityscape of the Republic Capital of Coruscant, and Hirr squinted against the sudden brightness.
Hirr did not fit the perceived appearance of a Jedi Knight, forsaking as he did the robe-like attire usually worn by the Jedi. He stood clad in tan lace up boots, loose fitting black pants, cinched at the waist with a dark brown leather sash, over which he wore a black utility belt.
His upper body was covered in a form fitting, long sleeved brown utility shirt and a hard worn leather vest, with his lightsaber, the signature weapon of the Jedi, strapped to his right thigh in a drop leg holster rather than swinging from his belt as per the norm.
Davin had been trained by a radical Jedi Master called Djinn Altis, spending his formative years drifting through the stars on board the roaming Jedi Praxeum Starship chu’unthor and when compared to the Jedi trained on Coruscant, his training been unorthodox to say the least, and he had been encouraged to follow his own path.
During this time, he had visited thousands of civilized worlds, and upon earning his Knighthood, he had chosen to move to the Jedi Temple to join the ranks of the Jedi Sentinels, spending several years further honing his Jedi skills, and as such he was used to the expansive views that the Jedi Temple afforded of the capital, but despite this, they still never failed to impress.
Literally nothing in the known galaxy compared to Coruscant, and so Davin tucked the holo-cube into a belt pouch and took a moment to enjoy the view.
It was dusk, and the sun was low in the deepening blue sky, a burnished golden orb, dazzling his eyes it was reflected from the innumerable windows of the cities upper reaches and illuminated the wispy veils of clouds that skirted across the sky so that they appeared as spreading flames across the world, with the lanes of speeder traffic flitting between the lofty spires and domes like avian creatures seeking solace in the skies.
Davin closed his eyes and opened himself to the Force and with a billion and more sentient beings a mere stone’s throw away, his senses were flooded by the innumerable feelings of happiness, sadness, hope, love, greed, anger, fear and hate projected into the Force by those sentient beings.
But he could feel something else too, something huge, something dark, powerful and incredibly strange.
He strained his senses, but the unusual feeling drifted away from his mind like fog over water, elusive and seemingly unwilling to be pinned down and explained, and frustrated with himself, he ran through the techniques he had been taught in an effort to calm his mind but it was a futile effort.
Hirr sighed again and then smiled ruefully to himself, his thumb absently rubbing the pommel of his lightsaber; a nervous habit he had picked up as a Padawan which, despite his best efforts, he could not rid himself of.
He wrapped himself deep within the dark brown robe he wore, the one concession he made to the perceived “uniform” of the Jedi, as he turned and made his way to the exit.
