Ben was a lonely kid it was hard for him on the scab world he had been there ass long as he could remember " my father must be a Jedi" he would say because he himself could use the force with no form of training he decided to make his saber from spare parts the first few fails but he got it right in the end with not one but two twin sabers turning them on he realized that they had triggers on them so naturally he tried them out and blasted a old busted droid then the saber came out to prove himself to the Jedi order he made his ow fighting style that incorporates the blaster in his sabers................................let me know in the comments section if you want the full story I'd be happy to put it out there

That's an interesting concept - a blaster in the saber.  I'd love to hear more about how that is incorporated in the fighting style...

I think Ezra Bridger from Rebels may have done something like that?

Yep!

As the picture implies, he can only use one or the other - whenever he uses the blaster his blade retracts.

thats close but not quiet it still looks like a normal curve handle saber with a trigger guard on it as for how to fight with it its just like twin sabers because there are two but now if you lock sabers with somone  you have a blaster as well or use some strategy to throw off your opponent

I like the concept, but its look in Rebels is pretty funny  Grin If it looked more or less like a saber then I wouldn't be opposed to having a multi-functional weapon.

In my mind I had an image of saber with a blaster port in the emitter, so it would almost be like you could shoot the blade at someone.  Just a thought.

You are definitely not the only one.  Something similar to Squall's gunblade in Final Fantasy VIII would be better, yu have style and functionality there.  What darthnerd and Karmack describe sounds closer to that anyway.
