I like your thinking! I did something similar in 3D modelling a few years ago but built a modular hilt design that used an emitter as a crystal chamber pommel.
Your creation reminds me of Exar Kun's hilt in a way - it's just a shame the saber can't accommodate two blades.
point for exploring what's possible with existing parts.

As to doing two blades, it'd need a choke or an extension at the back like I did with the Wrath, but then you could do two blades just fine
