Finally uploading some saber pics.  The collection.  V4 Dark Sentinel, Tri-Fire Orange, Obsidian V4, no flash.  Dominix V4, Arctic Blue, stunt.  Consular, Tri-Blazing Red with QD's, Obsidian V1 or V2(can't remember), no flash, blue illuminated switch. |

Great Archin 2.1, Zren
It is really a nice combo. I'm not fond of the hilt though, as the shroud is kinda uncomfortable and has sharp edges. I want to add a leather wrap over it. |

The core of the Cousular is pretty good looking without the shroud, but the shroud kinda makes the saber IMHO. :-)
TJ, another thing you can do is take an emory board to the sharp edges and use it to bevel the edges. Works like a charm. I do that to V4 windows and the big windows on the new V5s for handling comfort.

I thought about sanding it on the edges, like you suggest. I'll take the shroud off as soon as I find the Allen key set.... I want to replace it with a wrap, though I was thinking of leaving the shroud just for the extra thickness. I actually want the wrap for a separate reason, I'm planning on using it for a costume, but I'd like to distance it from being "Qui-Gon's" saber as much as I can. |
