My Aeon v2 in Consular Green And Aeon v3 in Blazing Red both are stunt sabers Just finished another color mod project. I think it turned out pretty good. :-)  I like the LE with the black.
Experimented with great sabers (aka light clubs) over the weekend.   I envisioned this as the saber of Sauron. And then I toyed with this.  This becomes VERY balanced with a 32 installed. And as much as I hate to admit it, it takes on more of a fencing feel to the weapon. Light and very quick. |

Oh, I like this! Loving the two-tone look and the deep vents for an implied crystal chamber. Put a 40" blade on it and it would be freaking awesome! And then I toyed with this. Normally I'm opposed to the idea of the crystal chamber because many put them too close to the emitter for my tastes. But with the 18" of length this had, it seemed a more suitable location. It did put me in a mind to order a 2m blade and cosplay Gorc, the dark Jedi.  What are the components? It looks like a Mantis elbow, a shock emitter and half a scorpion pommel in silver? Several people have asked for a smaller curved hilt. That might be it right there.
It's just a Mantis with the collar and pommel choke removed, and the emitter replaced with my Shock LE. with the curve it offers a very unique feel. |

Yeah.......just need a small fortune to get a Gamorrean body suit made.  Although now that I look closer, this image isn't Gamorrean. Gamorreans have 5-fingered hands, not three. And his feet are 2-toed not 5.  .  Further research reveals him to be a mutated Gamorrean. I like that Mantis mod. I've never been a fan of the Mantis, it just looks to big and bulky. But that looks nimble and quick, which is the point of the curved hilt. Points for creativity!
It is on the bulky side. That's why I had my claws machined down long ago. It works as a combat saber if you have the grip and strength. But this mod does add +5 agility to the weapon stats.  Actually the point of a curved hilt is a simple matter of grip preference. |
