Is there any prep of the sleeve required prior to painting (other than wiping with something like denatured alcohol)?
I took sandpaper and roughed it up, then wiped with alcohol and then painted 3 coats and then 2 coats of clear matte sealer. I wanted it to be more black, but actually like it hammered toned. |

Very nice Karmack. I added a few Day Blades Excellent collection Sithlord77! Might I ask why that Red Bellicose is using a Photon blade? Is it for a FoC color? That could look wicked Also, did you get the blades from TCSS? If so, and you assembled them yourself, might I recommend getting an Enhanced Red Pointed tip for the Red blade on your Chosen One to mitigate that "dead spot" in the center of the tip. Unless that's a thick-walled blade, in which case they don't offer Enhanced Red. - |

Nice work Fatalis 👍 Here's a little update to my Sentinel le v4  The Sentinel v4 was already one of my favorites but yours takes the cake, SL! Great collection, Galef! Even better: great display! my latest find -- a Frankensaber  someone from this forum may very well recognize this beast! I love being its new owner Crimson Reaper claw, emitter, and sleeve War Glaive body Malice emitter flipped around and used as an extension Pommel from a Dark LiberatorV3 retrofit with a Tri-Cree RED, and Obsidian V4   Wow, that IS a monster, DA New wall display. My home office space finally feels like my office! :-) Oooh, Mak'Tor sabers! Awesome, Karm! Very nice Karmack. I added a few Day Blades Those look fantastic, SL! The Bellicose as a Emerald Driver and it was changing between colors. So its either Green or Red. Yes I got all them from TCSS and assembled them myself. And yes the Red is Thick walled so I have the Shouldered 1" thick walled blade tip with reflective disc. I also have a Enhanced Amber on one of my Stunts. |

It actually has a purple hue to it so since it didnt react too well to blue I have it in a Stunt that is Blazing Red and looks nice. |

Cool thanx. I bought mine to help brighten up my son's Tri-Silver which he uses a yellow color disc. It's bright enough and very vivid, but then I got a yellow day blade for it and without the disc it's not quite the right hue he wants, but with both the disc and the day blade, it's noticeably dimmer. I'm hoping the Enhanced Amber will either be the right color as is, or we can use a weaker filter to edge it there, yet still keep the brightness. - |

Well, I would like to see pics of those blade plugs with the LED ignited; they look quite intriguing! To keep the black-and-silver theme going (if that’s what you’re going for), have you considered adding various strips of heat tape (I don’t know the actual name for it, but it’s what we used to keep the color gels on the stage lights)? It’s super-shiny, and conforms well to cylindrical forms. Of course, if you’d rather the claws be darker rather than add silver to the hilts, I’ve seen some folks create some really interesting looks with Rust-Oleum. Without knowing where you want to take this, it’s hard to come up with suggestions that might be appealing to you. |
