Thanks Darth. Plan for the staff (which is currently 2 x yari, black flush coupler, and black quick disconect) is get the bottom yar I machine down by about half so its the Brood Guard side handle is at proper cane length for my height.

My fav hilt with my fav pop figure! That's a nice combo, set up well on that backdrop. Always loved Maul for that aggro look and lightsaber. It's like so much rage molded into it all elegantly. Great choice. |

So a few weeks ago, my kids placed an order for some emitters and pommels to dress up their sabers. And I have to say, they made some good choices... First we have my 10 year old's Aeon, he chose to swap the pommel out for a Spectre pommel with the D-ring. He likes the way the chrome goes with the rest of the hilt, I agree:  Next is my oldest son's Manticore, he chose the Dark Dorinian pommel with a Crimson Dominicide emitter. Love how the black pommel goes with the black of the hilt, but the red claws add that splash of color:  Finally, there's my 16 year old's Savior, he added a Grandmaster pommel with a Malice emitter. This thing is a BEAST, with a lot of weight in the front, but he's big enough to handle it pretty well. I picked up a 40 inch blade for him to balance out how much the claws covered; no fancy twirling with this thing, this is practically a claymore, but he absolutely loves it. He calls it the Caliburn, a riff on Excalibur:  |

Damn it. I have to wait another 24h to give you a point for those nice pics. The crimson dominicide emitter adds a very nice touch. The malice emitter is MASSIVE but the look of the hilt is interesting! D-ring + covertec too many choices!! xD |

For sure, those were some well thought out and visually pleasing additions making those lightsabers a bit unique. I really like how the color of the new emitter mirrors the blade color, and that malice emitter is just one I love anyway. So seeing it with a hilt like that is interesting, pretty cool and a SW excalibur makes me laugh a bit too, it's a good thought. I really do agree with your youngest on the chrome finish looking complete, making the pommel more a "part of" the saber hilt and drawing the eye to the other accents and blade instead. Certainly choosing to quickly upgrade from the factory stock versions, not bad. |
