Quick swing sounds

Hey guys!
 I was wondering if and how i could make the swingsounds on the saber quicker.
I want to do some faster combos but the sounds currently dont keep up..
I'm using ninjajesus' old republic font if that makes a difference.
Should i just make the sounds shorter in audacity or something?
Any help would be appreciated!!

Have you adjusted the sensitivity and timing for your soundboard? That helped me quite a bit, but it still lags. Just the technology, I guess.

Yup absolutely. Its already quite good, but i noticed that with some fonts the swings follow eachother up quicker than other fonts. When i looked at the sounds in audacity the quick swings were actually shorter sounds. So i wondered if i could change the sounds a bit to make the swings quicker.
