So if I get me a newer Obsidian V3 saber and the charger I still have, should I go ahead and get me a new one or does it really matter? Or should I anyway since the batteries seems to have changed? my brother might get me a Menace SE saber this week so I can finally enter a first raffle Cheesy going kind of all out. Blazing Red probably Mid Grade blade since I don't really duel hard anyway, possibly orange flash, going original in Menace Maul design so =] Even he said you just can't go wrong with Darth Maul's lightsaber of either version Tongue

I have 3 chargers. I think it's worth having a couple so you can make sure you have at least 2 sets of batteries charged at any one time.

No I meant like, my Bellicose has Obsidian 2 and the older charger for the batteries with the fire on them. So I was wondering when I do get me a newer saber with newer sound should I go ahead and get a new version charger? Fire bad... Tongue

No, I don't think you have to change the charger. As long as they're Li-Ion batteries, any Li-Ion battery charger that can hold a 14500 cell will be able to charge it (assuming it's not dead Tongue). I use a VP4 from XTar now together with the "old" black/orange TrustFire batteries without any issues so far, so you should be fine with your charger.
