Update time. So, as an entry for the 2nd spring raffle, I ordered...well, I ordered the pieces for this:  The "Pint-sized Powerhouse" became Project: Undercover. First, I ordered the saber without Emerald or a recharge port, to keep the hilt body as short as I could get it. Then, because I wasn't 100% happy with the notion of a 1" blade depth, I ordered an MHS Scorpion pommel, the neck of which became an emitter neck, and then put the Flamberge emitter ring into that. I got it with QDs, so while it's not Emerald, I can still change colors if I wish. Total length, from the face of the emitter to the end of the pommel, is 9" clean. This is about a perfect single-handed saber, is slightly smaller than the listed lengths for even the Initiate V3, and has tons of style while staying small. The threaded holes for the knurled knobs/buttons will get filled with button head screws or something similarly low profile. |

Looks very nice now. I was actually about to recommend that or get a flush coupler for extra length. I think blades can go through that too? Not the flush coupler but the other one, the extendable one I guess?

A little less compact, but keeping a lot of the look of it, still small, and much less complicated to put together:  Edit: I should note, I'm keeping it in the Scorpion neck/Flamberge blade holder configuration. The Arbiter emitter will be used on something else. I just wanted to see what it looked like. |

They're very useful, since it's easier to just unscrew the blade holder and blade as a unit, and put in the spares I have from an empty Flamberge hilt I have, that I've put blade plugs into, than to undo all 9 blade holder screws. I could really use a set for UEHG blades for my Flamberge, for those colors that suit the UE blades better. |
