Heathen!  I actually gave an extemporaneous speech about how this is wrong in my speech class last year. I had a few other people to help out, and the info didn't have to be true, so we pretty much made it up as we went. it was fun though.  |

Clearly that teacher's lesson plans are both remarkable and sagacious

Never been a time in my life I didn't have at least 1 cat. I've never done this, and cant imagine it discouraging any cat that was going for the great unraveling from doing it's thing. Some didn't bother some did, but all stopped trying after the were full grown. Might just be my experience on this one. |

And I've never owned a dog that dug holes in the yard, but that doesn't mean dogs won't do it. You're not the only cat owner in the world. The fact of the matter is, putting the paper on backwards is a proven way to stop the unraveling many of us cat owners had to deal with. Alot of cat owners, myself included, found this simple fix did the trick and didn't inconvenience us one bit. Having to keep the bathroom door closed all the time is far more of an inconvenience than just flipping the paper roll.
