I would try this myself but I have no experience in ripping sound from a dvd. I could manage with just a video from youtube with all the movie sounds but I haven't found anything yet

True, though that thread was originally posted by a few people who made fonts before the DVD came out. I can tell you if someone does make an Obsidian font sourced from the DVD, I will be thrilled.  |

Don't get why the usual fontsmiths aren't all over this by now.
The blu-ray has been out for some time and "other" fontmakers with the necessary expertise jumped on sampling the sounds from the movie at the 1st opportunity.

Hasn't stopped Shameem and he's SELLING graflex & kylo soundfonts sampled directly from TFA and even admits to doing so on his channel.
If he can get away with blatantly ripping-off Disney IP for profit, I'm sure some generous soul with the time and knowledge could get away with doing it for free.

I'd say that doing something for free is less likely to attract angry lawyers than doing it for money. So I don't think anyone who wants to make an Obsidian font has that much to worry about.
