flash on clash stops working.

Hey Everybody

First off I have sent an email to US, but I'm hoping you guys might also have some suggestions.

My FoC goes out after a few hits on my new scorpion.  If I turn it off and on it goes for about one hit then doesn't do it again. Somewhere in the forums it said this might be a low battery issue,  but I just placed freshly charged batteries in and it still does it.

Any advice here is welcome, but is I just got it, I know it's still under warranty. So I'll probably wait to hear back from US before taking any drastic measures.

Well, it could be a wiring issue.

Do you have quick disconnects? If so, check all those connections.

Other than that, emailing US was the right thing to do. Hopefully you get this resolved quickly!

I don't think so. But in fairness I'm not sure. It was my prize in the raffle, so I only know what I can see from the outside. It does have a recharge port, if that makes a difference.

Remove your emitter (i think the scorpion emitter is removable)

Pop out the LED unit and if you see little plugs rather than just wire, make sure they are all secure.

If you just see wires wrapped in electrical tape or heatshrink, then you'll definitely have to send your saber back.

It's not, even if it was, the claw inhibits it's removal.

If it's not registering a hit at all, could be you just aren't striking whatever it is hard enough. 

I know that sometimes when I clash blades with someone, it only registers if it's a solid hit.

Keep in mind that the motion sensor is in the hilt, not the blade.  It needs a sudden stop.  A good way to test it, is to have it on, and make like you're throwing a punch with it.

If it's an Obsidian V3 or V4 board, I'm pretty sure you can adjust the sensitivity too.  Is there a mini USB port on the soundboard? (on the battery pack)

Oh yes,I still have this problem too with my Sentinel LE.Mine does the same thing randomly once in a while depending on how and where I hit it(on my leg to test FoC and on another blade)I wonder what would be the problem seeing as how when I brought mine in for repair they(Ultrasabers) couldnt find anything wrong with it except for my speaker they replaced.its not that annoying but when it stops like what you say it can be annoying.

I did that on mine thats having the same problem and it doesnt work ive even tried putting Saber back to default and resetting and mine does what the OP saber does.When it stops no matter how hard I whack it I still get no response and thats even when im using a high speed hit,still doesnt work.Im wondering if OP has tried this too and failling like I am to fix this problem.

That's not it. I have other sound sabers and with FoC. It is woking just fine, then it's stops. No matter how hard it is struck. Hilt or blade.

UPDATE: I did a reset and reformat, and that seems to have fixed it. Now I just did it about an hour ago, so we will see if it happens again or if that was the solution.
