Another cosplayer I'm a fan of, Maid of Might (Jessica Chancellor):

She's done a bunch of Slave Leia variants as well.

On the topic of cosplayers....

Adrianne Curry

I know some people hate her, but whatever. I remember the first time I saw her on the Surreal Life. There was just something about her that......made me feel all funny.

LOL  you know I got cussed out by her in the comments of a youtube video

Be that as it may, I still respect her for two reasons:

1) Once at a con, some douchebag came up behind her and a couple of friends and grabbed one of their backsides. She chased him down, knocked him in the head a few times with the handle of her whip (she was cosplaying Catwoman), and kept him there until security arrived.

2) Once you get past her public persona, she's actually a really nice and sweet woman. The trick to that is to talk to her like she's a person, not a slab of meat or something to ogle.

All I did was ask who she was....she came into the thread calling me all kinds of names and crap.  I wish I had screen capped it..I found it amusing.

So a friend of mine is writing a continuously updating Jurassic World fanfiction (called "The Scaly Raptor") where Owen Grady has a magical amulet that allows one species to turn into another species and back by putting the blood of said species in the amulet and wearing it (it's actually a LOT better than it sounds).

In the course of this story, I have come up with four perfect specimens to play the human forms of his raptors (yes, they all survived the Indominus incident... even Charlie).

Human!Blue would be played by Daisy Ridley

That look of determination just SCREAMS Blue.

Human!Delta would be played by Allison Stokke.

Delta seems to be the most serious of the Squad and I think it matches up well with Stokke.

Human!Charlie would be played by McKayla Maroney.

I really don't know why I chose Maroney. Something about that look on her face makes me think of the Squad, so I went with my gut.

Human!Echo would be played by Michelle Jenneke.

Echo's nickname as a hatchling was Bunny because she liked to hop around everywhere. So Jenneke is apropos.

This is a bit different, but I find women in equestrian outfits impossibly appealing:

The actual name for the pants worn by equestrian riders is Jodhpurs.

I just wish that wasn't what so many women thought was their only kind of option to cosplay. Sad  Imagine how great she'd look in a proper uniform as credible as the kind a man would wear.  Properly tailored, of course, but a truly serious costume that speaks of power.

Oh, you'd love Lucy Hinsley's female Captain America (I know I do... She's beautiful AND talented).

See, I don't mind that Power Girl cosplay so much (other than it's just about as overdone as Deadpool, Lara Croft, and Harley Quinn) because it's true to the original design and isn't altered to be more revealing than the comics.

If a woman has certain physical characteristics and wishes to dress as a character whose costume is designed to flaunt those characteristics, then fine. I have no problem with that. It's their choice to do so AND they are respecting the original design.

I also like the genderbent versions of traditional cosplay, so long as they don't go overboard. Lucy Hinsley's female Captain America (above) is a good example of this.

I don't even mind the imaginitive cosplays where they mix universes (first thing that comes to mind is the Disney Princess/Slave Leia outfits), as long as they are done well.

What irritates me is people like Jessica Nigri whose entire purpose behind cosplay is to dress in the skimpiest outfits they can possibly get and shake their goodies all over the place. They are the ones whose actions give good cosplayers a bad name.

She looks dangerous all right, like you'd expect her to KNOW how to use that shield as a weapon.  Not to be messed with!

The "sexy cosplay" girls/women are played out. It was good initially but it's repetitive, especially if its just girls trying to get a rise out of guys. I appreciate a good looking woman, but idk, just me.
You can say its honoring your favorite characters, but I'm kinda in the camp of how much do these girls know of the character they dress up as? To each, their own though
