Yes, hitting things with them helps. Occasionally I even turn them on. And sometimes I'll even hit stuff with the plastic end.
I just need someone around here to actually spar with on a regular basis.
Just toss some random person a saber, and say "Defend yourself". I bet they do alright...lol |

They are a good way to relax. Focusing on spin practice is very distracting (except that darn obi ani thing that drives me insane). They're also very good for venting as my poor couch can sometime acknowledge. Should get a boxing dummy to vent on.

That's right - Rochester area? I have no passport ATM, or I'd happily come down...lol Although, you'd likely do just as well practising against a cut-out - I'm awful. I'd totally invite you up here, but MM and I are on the outs, and I'll likely be moving. :| |

What I'm absolutely atrocious at duelling? I know right?  No, it's true. This morning I've been packing up a few things to go visit mom/daughter for a bit, so obviously it's the perfect time to throw my back out. Right on. I likely won't be back in this area too much after that. Mom has WiFi though, so I should be able to log on to this here forum. |
