I used audacity to start converting the files per the sticky but am at a loss when it comes to using the lsu converter on the obsidian launcher I do not see the option when I open it
can someone give me further instructions

It think it was on the older Obsidian 2.0 or something. My v4 runs .wav files, so I've just been doing that.

My v4 accepts .lsu or .wav files. I made a font set with spring sounds. It's like a Stooges comedy session. Boing! Boof! Spreeyoing! It's all .wav files. I think it has to be mono tracks and specific set up. I'll look for the info and link it here when I find it.

http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=11033.0Yep. Follow the directions, but if you've got v4 sound, you can skip the conversion part. Just make sure the .wav is set up the way it describes. Leave off the final step of making it a .lsu file. That's what I did. Need 16 bit mono 48000 hz.

V4 boards can use .wav files so, on those the converter is unnecessary. If you have a Obs 3 board, you will need to convert the .wav to lsu to use it.
The converter is NOT part of the Ultrasabers launcher, but rather a small , standalone program that is included on the Obsidian v2 launcher's installation bundle. (download the older launcher to get it, but you wlll only need the converter)

So any reason why my Exported .Wav at Mono 16-bit opens up in audacity as 32-bit still? The ultrasabers launcher isn't finding half my sounds, have a diamond board controller.

By default Audacity opens the sound file at 32 bit. Your Obsidian requires 16 bit for it to function properly. When converting sound files the bit rate will always need to be changed to 16 bit before saving for Obsidian. This is not the case for some of the other boards on the market. Hope this helps. |

V3 boards take wav files. It's a matter of the launcher used. |
