Yes a D cell will fit the silver choke point on the Scorpion, however it will be quite a tight fit! I have been using the MagLite clips for a while now and have had the occasional breakage when they are stretched too far. My Scorpion has been fine so far though... I plan to get some of the broom holders and see how they compare. Good luck Smiley

I know this isn't a wall mount, but being a renter I couldn't do a permanent install, so I wanted something stand-alone.  I found this on ebay... it's a corner table pool cue stand  Cool
