so a while ago i got a grab bag of a standard issue battle saber in orange. i decided to customise it with some paint and try my hand at etching. im pretty pleased with how it turned out.

hoping to do more of this stuff in the future, i have a few more grab bag hilts lying around that i have some ideas for

  the black really looks great with the orange blade.  the dragon etch is just the right scale.

Very nice.  The Standard Issue is perfect for this sort of thing, as the smooth surface is probably nice to work on.  Smiley

yeah exactly. i was a little bit "meh" when i first got the standard issue battle saber but then my dad said it would be no trouble to paint it (he paints card for a living) and all of sudden it was one of the best sabers i ever had because i could do anything i wanted to it and not worry about ruining an expensive fancy looking hilt Smiley

just finishing turning a aeonv3 into a blue and silver hilt. now just gotta think of what etching i can do
