There is no good or evil....there's only power!

*Requesting this to be converted into a sticky post (line may be deleted after doing so)*

Since there are more and more questions on what the different Emerald Driver settings mean and what they affect, here's a short but simple explanation of any of the settings:

Idle Pulse section

The second (Colour 1) and fourth (Colour 2) section of the colour bar can be clicked on which leads to colour selection mode. There you can use the sliders (Advanced Mode, recommended for fine-tuning) or you can use the colour picker (Easy Mode, recommended for initial colour picking). The sliders use percentages which can be converted into actual RGB values by using this formula: RGB value = (% value/100) * 255 (round to whole number)
Colour 1 is the colour the saber will pulse to and Colour 2 is the base colour.

Back on the main Emerald tab, the four white lines on the colour bar can be used to set the different transition times and how long the colours should remain idle in .02 second increments. You can also set the total time for one complete Pulse cycle from 0 to 500 sec in .10 second increments.

Flash on Clash Pulse section (sound sabers only)

Differences here are:
a) The colour bar shows the Idle colour (Colour 2) on the right and your Flash on Clash colour on the left only. There is no transition between the two as you have it in Idle Pulse Mode.
b) You have only one white line to set the duration of the two states.
c) You can set the total number of flashes that should occur within one trigger of Flash on Clash from 1 to 1000 in increments of 1.
Anything not mentioned here is the same as described in the Idle Pulse section.

Driver config (on the very left of the main Emerald tab)

DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING HERE! DOING SO MAY DAMAGE THE DRIVER AND/OR YOUR SABER!

I learned about transition time. I don't have emerald, yet. I didn't know the pulse could be set to shift the color over time. I thought all transitions were instant with just times to stay each color. Your description helped me understand, and I went back to the video and confirmed. So, your post helped me understand that better. Thank you.

You're not totally wrong, OWK - with FoC you actually have instant transitions between your idle and FoC colours. But in Idle Pulse Mode you really have visible and adjustable colour shifts. That's what it makes so versatile and awesome - you can create really cool effects Cheesy

And thx for all the points, D(ear)7 Kiss
