Upon re-watching the episode, I'm pretty confident that the voice coming from the holocron is Ventress.
It may be the Nikka Futterman doing the voice, but Ima smack someone if that's the best they could come up with.
1) The battlefield surrounding the temple was ancient, so it is highly unlikely that the holocron was made by Ventress
2) Highly unlikely that Tyranus taught her how to make a holocron as he was doubtlessly not taught himself. Although, holocrons aren't exclusive Sith tech and therefore both former Jedi could have learned during there time in the Order, but not likely.
3)Looked her up on IMDB, she is merely listed as "the presence". 2 episodes in 2016.
And of course there's fuel lines on the disposal conveyor. After the ships get attached to the conveyor for disposal, you have to drain the fuel out of them. What better way to do that than to suck it into a storage tank for later use or sale? Seems like a better option than sending the ships into the incinerator full of fuel and blowing the whole place up.
Yeah, you take it out so it doesn't ignite when you incinerate the chopped husk. But what reason would there be to have a function to put the fuel back? Their called check valves, and they prevent backflow in hydraulic systems.
They brought Timothy Zahn (creator of Thrawn) into oversee Thrawn'c writing as well as Zahn is writing a New Canon novel about Thrawn's rise to Grand Admiral. The Holocron's voice is the same as Ventress but it is not Ventress herself as Ventress was not a Sith and the Holocron is over a Thousand years old (and Ventress was killed by Dooku near the end of the Clone Wars). Maul has always been voiced by Sam Witwer...who also voices Palpatine.
I think Witwer made his debut voicing the Emperor in TFU.
From what I saw, Ventress survives. Defeated, but not dead. She keeps being presumed dead, but keeps coming back.
I heard she ran for the hills beyond the edge of the galaxy in a mad effort to get away from her feelings for Kenobi.
Maul's voice was dubbed over Park's in ep1. Witwer did Maul in Clone Wars and now Rebels, but Palpatine was done by him in all but like two episodes. I think the butler from Clue did Palpatine in two episodes of Clone Wars.
They had Tim Curry voice the Emperor?
(post IMDB) Confirmed. 10 episodes.
But yes, I initially found it odd that there was a voice actor for Darth Maul in Ep1. But after seeing X-Men and hearing Ray Park's real voice, it made perfect sense.
I apologize. I should've said the great butler from Clue, my favorite of his. Also, the great IT, the great dark master from Legend, the snivelly guy with a berilliumsphere (sp?) in The Shadow and other greats that I have an easier time recalling than names.
Someday, all I'll be able to remember will be, "You know, the guy from the thing." And people will just joke, "No. He wasn't in 'The Thing'. That was the other guy." And I'll go back to just chewing something and staring out the window.
He has over 200 acting credits to his name, and he's so good it's difficult to pin him to a defining role. Except for the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
