What can I say; the force has set me free.
I'm just glad you got it on camera when it happened. Not everyone has the forethought to have someone filming their every move and misses moments like those.

I always try to record my practices. I often delete them just after, but watching them back helps me figure out what things look like and what I can do better. If I don't have my phone, I practice by reflective surfaces or at least where I can see my shadow.

I have another practice video I will upload tomorrow. It still has my cobbled together gear, but it also has the last trick I was trying out. It is a force plum flower. I just got done reassembling My set up with the new pieces so I am optomistic about being able to put everything together by the video after next. I hope to have everything worked out in time to be able to use this in a performance Thursday night. As an added bonus, I think I figured out how to force draw today as well. You know that thing that they do in the movies where they summon the saber from their belt with the force? I think I can do that.

This is a more or less finished version of my flying or levitating lightsaber technique. It includes five different levitation techniques. The learning curve was steep on this one, but I think I got there in the end. Hope you enjoy.

Just a bit more of my levitating lightsaber technique, taken from a much longer video, with a first attempt at a black core special effect added. For the record, the blade color and black core are added in post, the rest of the effect is practical and looks just like that in person. Eventually I may be offering a kit and instructions on how to do this through a future kickstarter.

I see you've got a black core blade...and a black core light.

That lamp post is clearly a dark side adept. At any rate, here is another.
Trying out my new levitating saber rig. I made some adjustments for increased spin and even found a new move or two around the 6 minute mark. This is the longer version of the video from the last post and without the black core effect. Storm in the background made me think of metal, so I set it to appropriate music from Metalica. This version is listed as a private video so that Youtube did not flip out about the music track as much. I posted another with the audio stripped here
The first is the preferred version though. If you try to share it, share the second. Enjoy.

First attempt at trying to dual wield levitating sabers. Not perfect and some mishaps, but I think the technique has potential.

Sorry for the hiccup on that. Apparently it took all night to process. It is up now though.

Most recent look at free form flying single saber. This one contains a single hand reel I have been working on in addition to more polished versions of the moves from the earlier videos. It also includes a couple of those jump strikes I was working on. I liked the way it went to the music. I will be hitting the double saber again soon to try to work it out a bit.
