That was actually his armor simply stopping the shots. Better examples were Yoda absorbing the Force Lightning of Dooku and Palpatine or Satele Shan stopping Darth Malgus's light saber blade with her bare hand on Alderaan. |

The right hand was a Mandalorian Crushgaunt surrounding a Sith Amulet, then covered with a glove made from Micronized Mandalorian Iron weave. Really, the only thing that could have ever taken than hand off was a saber, force powers, or extremely heavy machinery. Blasters stood zero chance, and I bet even the quad blaster cannon on the Millenium Falcon would have had difficulty. |

True enough, I remembered that my kids have a book and each page you turn breaks down Vader's suite from the outside in and nothing was left to chance in its design even down to the cape itself. Awesome.
