Hey all, guess what my guild did today?  Yep, a 2-star Rancor.  I ran my 3-star Nihilus to test what he does.


Drain Force:

It did the tendril animation to the Rancor (as expected), but also to the door panel!  Drain force seemed to hurry the door panel along.  First time I used it the door panel still had a turn or two before it became active, but it activated due to drain force.  Next couple of times it visibly increased the turn meter bar on the door panel.  Could have been imaging it, but don't think so.


Next, Annihilate:

As below, it worked like Savage Opress' Overpower, and did 99999 damage.  I managed to capture two screengrabs using annihilate...




Edit:  Also, 7-starred IG-88.  Now to start buying HK-47 shards

So how much percent of the Rancor's health did it do?

Also, your phone does have Force powers. There's droid smuggling here today. Yay!

So far all I know is I wouldn't have beaten Places of Power without it.

Yeah, sorry.  It just raises my heckles when the AI exploits weaknesses as much as it likes, but when it comes to MY team exploiting them against a group that should be weak, the AI has unnatural ability to resist.  I used a lot of Sith abilities on the event as well and it seemed like half the time they didn't work nearly as well as they should have.

Of course I logged in and there was no event.
I'm curious to see if the droid smuggling event happens at 4pm Feb 27th in America, and I'm getting my notifications early.... because Australia  Cool

You got me excited for nothing.  Tongue   Droid smuggling is just what I need right now.

Well you never know, I might be getting notifications ahead of time.  What is it, late Sunday night there now? So if there's a smuggling event tomorrow arvo or evening for you, we'll know my phone has force powers  Grin

Yes, it seems you are getting notifications about 6 hours in advance if my math is correct.  I judged when the event started, going back to the 24 hour mark, then when backwards to when you posted and got about 6 hours.  Wonder if it's a region setting or something weird on your phone.

SWEET!  That is awesome that he does damage like that.  I forsee him going into a LOT of raid groups.  Also that is interesting that he might manipulate the turn meter on the door.  So you believe he made it go faster?  As in, it became available to kill again faster?

No idea on the percentage.  I know right, I'll have to get my phone its own lightsaber or something...

It appeared to me to make the door available sooner, yes.  Could be wrong, but I paid special attention the second and third time I used the ability, and the door control's turn meter bar definitely appeared to progress noticeably more when Drain Force was used than on any other turn.

Well, if it does that is cool.  Though whether it speeds up the door or not, it's hardly game breaking.  People are now able to solo an entire Heroic Rancor Raid with 1 team thanks to Vader's Zeta.

It does make me more interested though in what he might be able to do for a regular Tank Raid and the heroic one.

Sadly it means we'd have to get him to 6* to participate in the normal tank raid and even further to 7* in order to participate in the Heroic raids.

WHATS NEW- Quality of Life Arrives!
Quality of Life Updates have gone live! For more information on the various improvements broken down and reviewed in depth via video, please feel free to review the ‘Upcoming Quality of Life Game Improvements post by @EA_Jesse <<HERE>>(below) For a more basic overview of what's included in this Game Update, please read on below!

We're aiming to have the rest of this update go out Wednesday

Challenge Completion and Rewards
Character Gear Challenge rewards have been increased so that higher tiers always provide better rewards.

Player Profile
Squad Arena Daily Activity will be reduced from 3 attempts to 2 attempts for players that have the Fleet Arena daily activity.

Guild Management: The "Last Login" filter in Guild Management has been updated to "Last Activity" to convey a more accurate time period since the player has last played the game. “Last Login” had the potential to not update for highly active players that never closed the game

Training Screen Improvements
The Shipments Daily Activity will now increment from purchasing from either Shipments or any of the feature stores.
Challenge Rewards have increased so that the final tier of each challenge always gives the best rewards. In addition, if the final tier of all challenges is SIM-able then a multi-sim button is available to sim all available challenges at once. (Timers still apply)
Players who purchase the Daily Crystal Booster will now get an inbox reminder when its duration expires

BUGS
Admiral Ackbar: "Tactical Genius" effect will no longer persist through phases.
Admiral Ackbar: "Tactical Genius" effect will no longer persist on revived allies.
Biggs Darklighter: "Adrenaline Rush" now correctly grants Turn Meter and Evasion Up when damaged by TIE Fighter Pilot.
Biggs Darklighter: Critical Damage Up from "Cadet's Aim" now lasts for the intended duration on Biggs himself.
Cad Bane: "Hunter's Reflexes" will now grant Deflection to Scoundrel allies.
Chief Chirpa: Retribution from "Ancestral Secrets" now correctly lasts 2 turns on Chief Chirpa.
CT-7567 Rex: "Impeding Shot" will no longer remove Turn Meter when it is Evaded.
Darth Maul: Offense Up from "Raging Storm" will now correctly last 2 turns.
General Grievious: "Tactical Retreat" will no longer cause Grievous to lose 10% Max Health when a non-Droid ally is defeated, and will correctly gain 10% Max Health when a Droid ally is revived.
Ima-Gun Di: "Jedi Strategist" will now correctly grant +25% Counter Damage to Jedi allies.
Jawa Scavenger: Defense Down applied by "Scrap Bomb" will no longer be dispelled by abilities that dispel buffs.
Jedi Knight Anakin: Bonus Offense from "Righteous Fury" can no longer be dispelled.
Jyn Erso: "Truncheon Strike" Omega upgrade will now grant Turn Meter when defeating an enemy.
Kit Fisto: "Superior Bladework" now provides the correct amount of Offense.
Lobot: "Optimize" will now grant the correct amount of Turn Meter to Droid allies.
Nightsister Acolyte: "Thrill of Victory" will now correctly increase Critical Chance.
Nute Gunray: "Backroom Subterfuge" will now correctly affect characters that start the battle in
Stealth (such as Geonosian Spy.)
Obi-Wan Kenobi (Old Ben): Evasion Up from "If You Strike Me Down" now lasts the correct amount of turns.
Poggle the Lesser: "Metal Hive" now correctly grants Deflection.
Poggle the Lesser: "Metal Hive" now properly calculates Evasion based on the number of living Droid allies.
Qui-Gon Jinn: Offense Up from "Humbling Blow" now lasts for the intended duration on Qui-Gon Jinn himself.
Shoretrooper: "Stand Guard" ability now says "...Whenever another allied Empire unit" instead of "...Whenever another Empire unit".
Sith Trooper: Will now use "Crimson Barrage" while under AI control.
Stormtrooper: Taunt from "Stormtrooper Bravado" will on longer persist through phases.
Sun Fac: "Superiority" will no longer apply Critical Chance Down when attacks are Evaded.
Tusken Raider: "Rifle Shot" will no longer remove Turn Meter when it is Evaded.
Tusken Shaman: Now gains the correct amount of stats per star level.

Ships
Rex's ARC-170: "Ready and Able" now grants Protection to allies when an ally Ship resists an effect.
Geonosian Soldier's Starfighter: Will now use "Separatist Assault" when controlled by the AI.
Biggs Darklighter's X-wing: "Daring Assault" will now grant Taunt when an enemy reinforcement becomes Target Locked.

WHAT’S AHEAD
Our next daily login character can be a cantankerous clanker, and can sometimes have a bad attitude. But they’re also incredibly loyal and heroic.

Greetings holotable heroes,

This week we're going to be highlighting features from our upcoming quality of life update. These features are meant to improve your play experiences and provide some other nifty improvements.
Today we're to talk about two new features, Saving Squad Configurations and Speeding Up Combat!

Saving Squad Configurations: Preset Squad Configurations can now be saved and selected in the squad selection screen. This feature is very robust allowing squads to be grouped into tabs (ex. AAT Squads) and rearranged/deleted.

Speed Up Combat: Combat speed can now be modified between three settings (1x, 2x, 4x). These speeds are independent of Auto or manual battle allowing increased speed while retaining manual strategy.

Basics Only in Auto Battle: Auto Battle can now be configured to only use basic attacks. This setting can be enabled in the Battle Settings menu and provides the choice between Auto Battle using all abilities, using basic abilities only, and providing an option to select the desired behavior when tapping the button in combat.

Challenge Completion and Rewards
Character Gear Challenge rewards have been increased so that higher tiers always provide better rewards.
When the final tier is simmable for all Character Challenges, a multi-sim button is available to sim all available challenges at once. (Timers still apply)

But that's not all for today! Here are some other improvements we're making:

Preview Ability Upgrades: Ability levels can now be researched allowing players to make more informed choices regarding their investments.

Train/Enhance Screen Improvements: The unit’s desired level can now be selected and necessary resources will be automatically assigned.

Upgrading Mods:
The animation for upgrading a Mod is much faster and can be skipped.
Mods can be upgraded based on a desired level.

It's time for round 3 of our Quality of Life game update preview!

Player Profile
A player's fleet arena ships and ship inventory can now be viewed in the player's profile.

The players XP bar and level have been updated to include the player’s name and look tappable. Many players were not aware they could view their own player profile.

New stat added "Fleet Arena Battles Won"

Guild Leader Message: Guild Leaders can now set a persistent message at the top of chat allowing them to communicate important information.

Improved Home Button: To enable easier navigation in the Guild Room and Ship Room, the Home button (upper right corner) will be contextual to the current room. (Cantina, Guild Room, Ship Room). For example, when viewing the
Raid Leaderboard, the home button will be replaced with a Guild Room button.

Squad Arena Daily Activity will be reduced from 3 attempts to 2 attempts for players that have the Fleet Arena daily activity.

Allies: Players can now make more informed decisions around their Allies
Guild names have been added to Ally Management and Requests including Ally Request inbox messages and post battle Ally Requests.
Potential Ally’s player profile can be viewed when an Ally Request inbox message is received.
Current Allies now display Guild name and last active time to allow easier management.

Favorite Unit: A unit can now be identified as a favorite allowing easy identification when viewing the character/ship inventory.
A filter exists for only viewing these units.

Galactic War:
Galactic War Rewards now scale as the player levels up

Shipments
All Shipments/Feature Stores can now be accessed from each other allowing easy navigation between them. For example when making purchases after timers have reset.
The Shipments Daily Activity will now increment from purchasing from either Shipments or any of the feature stores.

Teebo Bug Fixed: Taunt and Stealth effects no longer completely overwrite one another or themselves.
If a unit has multiple Taunt effects or multiple Stealth effects, their durations will be tracked individually, rather than the newer buff overwriting the older one.
If a unit has both Taunt and Stealth at the same time, Taunt takes precedence (i.e., enemies will be forced to target them), but the unit will still count as both Taunting and Stealthed for the purposes of triggering other effects and abilities.

I'd noticed that today and was wondering.  Cool!

Biggs Darklighter's X-wing: "Daring Assault" will now grant Taunt when an enemy reinforcement becomes Target Locked.

Good.  Yes!  That always ticked me off.

Our next daily login character can be a cantankerous clanker, and can sometimes have a bad attitude. But they’re also incredibly loyal and heroic.

Personally, these are what I am most happy about:

(Being that I am level 85 I see this as fair.  Though we don't know if this means I see no increase and everybody below 85 sees a decrease, or if they are ramping up rewards.)

Verified, it is Chopper.  He's in the characters screen now.  One of the very few that I have 0 shards for.  I'd rather have freaking R2 first, or even BB-8.  We have no Rebels yet, but for some reason they throw Chopper in.

So now that I'm finished ST Han who next in Arena Shipments? I'm thinking of starting a droid squad and going with IG-88 first so he can join in the heists.

So I checked Chopper's abilities...... wtf?!
We have tank class characters in the game without taunt, and now we have a non-tank character with taunt.  What is going on  Roll Eyes
